DURING THE TAX YEAR, SUMMIT PLAYERS THEATRE COMPLETED ITS MAJOR YEARLY PROJECT, SHAKESPEARE IN THE STATE PARKS. THE SPECIFIC PROJECT DURING THIS TAX YEAR WAS CALLED "SHAKESPEARE IN THE STATE PARKS: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING." BETWEEN JUNE 10 AND AUGUST 20, 2021, THE COMPANY PRESENTED 21 PROGRAMS IN 21 WISCONSIN STATE PARKS. THE PROGRAMS CONSISTED OF A 45-MINUTE EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP CALLED INSIDE SHAKESPEARE'S STORY: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING AND A 75-MINUTE, SIX ACTOR PRODUCTION OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S "MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING." THE COMPANY SERVED 248 WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS AND 1,889 AUDIENCE MEMBERS OVER THE COURSE OF ITS 21 PROGRAMS. 96 PERCENT OF PARTICIPANTS STATED THAT THE PROGRAM MET OR EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS BASED ON DATA COLLECTED IN A VOLUNTARY, POST-SHOW SURVEY. THIS PROJECT REPRESENTS THE SOLE PROGRAM SERVICE OF THE COMPANY DURING THIS TAX PERIOD.
