THE MISSION OF THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE SHOTGUNNING ASSOCIATION IS TO FOSTER NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL AMATEUR COMPETITION IN SHOOTING SPORTS, PARTICULARLY TRAPSHOOTING. DUE TO THE VERY EXPENSIVE NATURE OF THE COMPETITIVE SHOOTING SPORTS AND LIMITED FACILITIES FOR PARTICIPATION, IT IS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE FACTILITIES AND EQUIPMENT TO FOSTER THE SHOOTING SPORTS. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION INCLUDES THE PROMOTION OF AMERICAN STYLE TRAPSHOOTING. THE SPORT OF AMERICAN STYLE TRAPSHOOTING IS THE PREEMINENT TRAPSHOOTING SPORT IN THE WORLD, WITH MORE PARTICIPANTS WORLDWIDE THAN ANY OTHER FORM OF TRAPSHOOTING. THE ORGANIZATION WILL BE THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE SPORT OF AMERICAN STYLE TRAPSHOOTING IN THE STATE OF PENNSYLCANIE. THE ORGANIZATION'S PARTICIPANTS WILL INCLUDE THE BAEST TRAP SHOOTERS IN THE WORLD.

SHOOTING EVENTS: THE PSSA HOLDS SEVERAL SHOOTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WHERE PARTICPANTS WILL COMPETE. THE RESULTS OF THE REGISTERED SHOOTS WILL BE KEPT AND TRACKED BY THE ORGANIZATION. THE ORGANIZATION WILL PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING TO MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC ON NUMEROUS ISSUES RELATED TO THE SPORT OF SHOTGUNNING.
