THE STEVE FUND WORKS WITH COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES, NON-PROFITS, RESEARCHERS, MENTAL HEALTH EXPERTS, FAMILIES, AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO PROMOTE PROGRAMS AND STRATEGIES THAT BUILD UNDERSTANDING AND ASSISTANCE FOR THE MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH OF THE NATION'S YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR. THE FUND HOLDS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE SERIES, YOUNG, GIFTED & @RISK, AND OFFERS A KNOWLEDGE CENTER WITH CURATED EXPERT INFORMATION. PROGRAMS AND PARTNERSHIPSTHE STEVE FUND IS THE NATION'S ESSENTIAL STRATEGIC AND IMPLEMENTATION PARTNER FOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES, COMPANIES, INSTITUTIONS, AND ORGANIZATIONS SEEKING TO BUILD KNOWLEDGE, CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND TOOLS TO EQUITABLY SUPPORT THE MENTAL HEALTH AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING OF STUDENTS AND YOUNG PROFESSIONALS OF COLOR. IN 2021 THE STEVE FUND GREW ITS PARTNER NETWORK TO 225 INSTITUTIONS UTILIZING ITS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES.THROUGH OUR WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS WE REACHED OVER 1000 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, OVER 2000 COLLEGE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS AND 1200 PROFESSIONALS WHO WORK WITH STUDENTS OF COLOR.
TECH INNOVATIONSTHROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH TECH INNOVATIONS, THE STEVE FUND LEVERAGED THE POWER OF, REACH OF, AND COMFORT THAT STUDENTS FEEL WITH TECHNOLOGY TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO HIGH-QUALITY MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES AT SCALE. THE STEVE FUND CONTINUED SPONSORSHIPS OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR SUPPORT GROUP ON 7CUPS.COM REACHING 8,654 MEMBERS WITH DAILY SELF-CARE CHECK-INS, WEEKLY DISCUSSIONS ABOUT TOPICS SUCH AS DISCRIMINATION AND MICROAGGRESSIONS, AND ITS YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR SUPPORT GUIDE. WITH CRISIS TEXT LINE, THE STEVE FUND HAS REACHED OVER 2 MILLION STUDENTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR THROUGH DIRECT MARKETING ON SOCIAL MEDIA WITH INFORMATION ABOUT FREE, CONFIDENTIAL, 24/7 CRISIS TEXT COUNSELING AND HELPED THE CRISIS TEXT LINE TO DOUBLE THE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEER COUNSELORS OF COLOR SERVING THE ORGANIZATION.
EQUITY IN MENTAL HEALTH ON CAMPUSGOAL OF THE EQUITY IN MENTAL HEALTH ON CAMPUS INITIATIVE IS TO GUIDE AND SUPPORT A COHORT OF SCHOOLS THROUGH A TRANSFORMATIVE PROCESS THAT WILL MAKE THE MENTAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS OF COLOR A PRIORITY FOR THEIR CAMPUS COMMUNITY. THE EMHC INITIATIVE USES THE EQUITY IN MENTAL HEALTH FRAMEWORK (EMHF), A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND SET OF 10 ACTIONABLE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES TO SUPPORT THE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SOCIAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF STUDENTS OF COLOR. IN 2021, THE EMHC REACHED 239,617 STUDENTS AT 16 COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.. IN ADDITION, TO SUPPORT INSTITUTIONS IN USING THE EMHF, THE STEVE FUND AND JED FOUNDATION RELEASED AN EMHF IMPLEMENTATION TOOLKIT AND LAUNCHED A TWO-YEAR EMHF IMPLEMENTATION PILOT STUDY WITH 18 PILOT INSTITUTIONS INCLUDING FOUR-YEAR PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES, FOUR-YEAR PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES, AND COMMUNITY COLLEGE INSTITUTIONS. IN 2021 THE STEVE FUND LAUNCHED A COHORT WITH 12 CAMPUSES TO IMPLEMENT THE EMHF.
CONVENINGS, TOWN HALLS AND COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS-IN 2021, THE STEVE FUND HOSTED MUTLIPLE CONVENINGS AND WEBINARS THAT SUPPORTED YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES AS WELL AS PROFESSIONALS TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE OF COLOR. THROUGH OUR MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA THESE EVENTS REACHED THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS. OKNOWLEDGE CENTER-THE STEVE FUND'S KNOWLEDGE CENTER IS A RESOURCE FOR EXPERT INFORMATION ABOUT THE MENTAL HEALTH AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING OF STUDENTS OF COLOR. WITH OVER 180 PIECES OF CONTENT INCLUDING WHITE PAPERS, WEBINARS, AND VIDEOS OF EXPERT PRESENTATIONS AND INTERVIEWS, THE KNOWLEDGE CENTER SERVES THOUSANDS OF USERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY WITH ACCESS TO THE STEVE FUND'S LIBRARY OF CONTENT.YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD-THE STEVE FUND'S YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD SUPPORTS THE STEVE FUND'S PROGRAMS, INITIATIVES, AND OUTREACH EFFORTS NATIONWIDE.
