BMP PROGRAM FOCUSES ON HELPING YOUNG CHILDREN DEVELOP EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONS SKILLS, A SET OF COGNITIVE PROCESSES SUCH AS WORKING MEMORY, INHIBITORY CONTROL, AND COGNITIVE FLEXIBILITY BY APPLYING MUSIC LEARNING TO IMPROVE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THOSE SKILLS. STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ORCHESTRA AND CHOIR REHEARSALS, GROUP LESSONS, MUSIC THEORY CLASSES, AND TEAM-BUILDING ACTIVITIES. BMP PROGRAM CREATES NOT ONLY GREAT MUSICIANS, BUT ALSO CARING INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL GROW UP TO BE ACTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
