IN 2016, LEGAL FEES WERE PAID FOR FORMATION OF THE FOUNDATION, INCLUDING INCORPORATION, DRAFTING OF ALL CORPORATE DOCUMENTS, BYLAWS, CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY, ORGANIZATIONAL MINUTES AND OTHER DOCUMENTS RELATED TO GRANTING SCHOLARSHIPS, AND PREPARATION AND FILING THE APPLICATION FOR RECOGNITION AS A TAX EXEMPT PRIVATE FOUNDATION. IN ADDITION, LEGAL FEES WERE INCURRED TO RESOLVE A DISPUTE AFFECTING THE BASIC METHOD OF FUNDING OF THE FOUNDATION. THESE FEES WERE REASONABLE AND NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOUNDATION'S CHARITABLE PURPOSES.
