THE GREEN SPORTS ALLIANCE FOUNDATION ADVANCES SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY USING THE INFLUENCE OF SPORTS TO ENGAGE FANS, ATHLETES, YOUTH, AND COMMUNITIES IN SUSTAINABLE BEHAVIORS AND PRACTICES. WE DO THIS BY LEVERAGING THE POWER OF SPORTS TO PROMOTE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY. WE DRIVE SUSTAINABLE BEHAVIOR CHANGE THROUGH THE SPORTS EXPERIENCE BY BEING A CATALYST TO IMPROVE CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES FOR TEAMS, LEAGUES, VENUES, AND THEIR PARTNERS AND SPONSORS. WE MAKE SUSTAINABLE BEHAVIORS AND PRACTICES RELATABLE AND INSPIRING TO THE PUBLIC.

THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO HAVE NO STAFF MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATED FOUNDATION WORK IS CONTRACTED OUT TO STAFF MEMBERS OF GREEN SPORTS ALLIANCE. THE FOUNDATION RECEIVED GRANTS TO WORK ON WATER/ENERGY CONSERVATION, SPORTS EVENT GREENING AND FAN ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGNS, AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND YOUTH CAMPAIGNS. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO FOCUS ON DEVELOPING OUTWARD-FACING CAMPAIGNS FOR FANS, ATHLETES, YOUTH, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS.THE FOUNDATION ALSO INVESTED TIME AND RESOURCES TO DEVELOP A FUTURE-FORWARD STRATEGY IN ADDITION TO INITIATING AN ASSESSMENT OF LEADERSHIP AND ADDED IN 4 NEW BOARD MEMBERS.STRATEGIC PROGRAMS INCREASED IN 2021 AS WE STARTED TO RECOVER FROM THE COVID-19. IN 2021 WE IMPLEMENTED THE GAME CHANGERS INSTITUTE PARTNERSHIP AND DEVELOPED THE PHASE II METRICS FOR THE PLAY TO ZERO PLATFORM TO SUPPORT THE LEARNING MODULES FROM GCI THAT FOCUS ON HEALTH, WELLNESS, PERFORMANCE, AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE BENEFITS OF PLANT-BASED DIETS. WE ALSO PARTNERED WITH GCI TO CREATE AWARENESS ON THE CFP STAGE IN INDY TO SHARE THE BEST PRACTICES OF PLANT-BASED EATING NARRATED BY JAMES WILKES ON THE CAPITAL ONE STAGE. THE PARTNERSHIP WITH USGBC SUBSIDIARY ARC WAS IMPLEMENTED WITH THE PLAY TO ZERO PLATFORM. THE PTZ PLATFORM WAS CUSTOMIZED TO SUPPORT THE SPORTS INDUSTRY. WE DEVELOPED ON-BOARDING AND TRAINING MODULES TO INCREASE THE USAGE OF THE PLATFORM TO DRIVE ENERGY, WASTE, AND WATER IMPACTS TOWARD ZERO. THESE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FOUNDATION TO CREATE SUSTAINABILITY IMPACT IN THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE LIVE, WORK, AND PLAYTHE FOUNDATION ALSO SAW A DECREASE IN DONATIONS FROM THE GREEN SPORTS ALLIANCE 501C(6) BOARD OF DIRECTORS DUE TO THE COVID-19 CRISIS AND THE NEGATIVE ECONOMIC IMPACT ON THE SPORTS INDUSTRY AND OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE TOTAL AMOUNT DONATED TO FURTHER THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION DECREASED FROM $12,500 IN 2020 TO $3,000 IN 2021. THE GREEN SPORTS ALLIANCE 501C(6) ALSO DONATED $42,080 WORTH OF MANAGEMENT FEES IN 2021 TO FURTHER ITS MISSION
