MARTIN LUTHER KING HIGH SCHOOL - THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED THE HOPE FARM IN 2014 TO TEACH LIFE SKILLS AND RELATED URBAN FARMING AND NUTRITION TO STUDENTS AFFECTED BY AUTISM AND INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES. THE HORTICULTURE THERAPY PROGRAM PROVIDES EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING THAT CONNECTS CLASSROOM LESSONS WITH REAL LIFE APPLICATION, FOCUSING PRACTICAL LAND VOCATIONAL LIFE SKILLS THAT LEAD TO INCREASING INDEPENDENCE THROUGH GROWING AND TASTING ACTIVITIES THAT CONNECT TO CTE STANDARDS.
STENTON FAMILY MANOR - THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED HOPE GARDEN IN 2009 TO PROVIDE STRUCTURED GARDEN, NUTRITION AND CULINARY PROGRAMS FOR THE RESIDENTS OF STENTON FAMILY MANOR (EMERGENCY HOUSING FACILITIY FOR FAMILIES EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS). WB SAUL HIGH SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES - THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED ITS SECOND GROWING, SCRATCH COOKING AND TASTING ACTIVITIES WITH YOUTH AT THIS SITE IN 2008.
