LOCKEY FOUNDATION (FOUNDATION) IS COMMITTED TO ADVANCING SCIENTIFIC AND MEDICAL RESEARCH TO THE DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENT, CURE AND PREVENTION OF PANCREATIC CANCER, NEUROENDOCRINE (NET) CANCER AND OTHER FORMS OF CANCER. DURING 2021 THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR PROMISING CANCER TREATMENT ADVANCEMENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY MARKEY CANCER CENTER.THE MARKEY CANCER CENTER NET RESEARCH PROGRAM (MNRP) CONTINUED TO MAKE ADVANCEMENTS IN RADIATION-BASED TREATMENT FOR NEUROENDOCRINE CANCER THAT HAS METASTASIZED TO INTERNAL ORGANS. A RECENT PUBLICATION IN THE JOURNAL CELLS DEMONSTRATED THE BENEFIT OF UTILIZING DRUGS TO PROMOTE RADIATION SENSITIVITY IN NET CANCERS. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED TO FUND MNRP THROUGH FINANCIAL DONATIONS IN 2021. THE FOUNDATION IS LOOKING FORWARD TO HELPING FIND A CURE FOR NET CANCER!
