IN 2022 CED CONTINUED TO WORK IN COALITION WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO ADVANCE PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING IN THE CITY OF BOSTON BY FOCUSING ON PASSING A CITY ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE OFFICE OF PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING AND A DETAILED PROCESS TO IMPLEMENT THE PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING PROCESS WHICH WAS WON LAST YEAR. WE ALSO PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL TRAINING TO STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY (E4E) AND DEVELOPED NEW CURRICULUM TO ADD ONTO OUR EXISTING PROGRAMMING (MFFS, E4E 201) AND HOSTED A STATEWIDE COALITION TO SUPPORT COOPERATIVES AND WORKER OWNERSHIP WHICH PASSED THE MASSCEO ENABLING ACT, CREATING A STANDING OFFICE WITHIN THE MA OFFICE OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TO PROMOTE WORKER OWNERSHIP STATEWIDE. ADDITIONALLY, WE MANAGED COMMUNITY GOVERNED FUNDS THAT MADE GRANTS AND LOANS TO NONPROFITS AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISES (SEI) AND PUBLISHED A NEW PAPER INTRODUCING THE CONCEPT OF SOCIAL MOVEMENT INVESTING.
