LEGAL PROGRAM:IN FISCAL YEAR 2022, ALIGHT PROVIDED SERVICES TO 57 VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING, AND THEIR APPROXIMATELY 69 DEPENDENTS/CHILDREN ON 103 LEGAL CASES, FOR A TOTAL OF APPROXIMATELY 126 INDIVIDUALS IMPACTED BY TRAFFICKING WHO BENEFITED FROM THE LEGAL SERVICES PROVIDED. ALIGHT WORKED WITH 65 VETTED PRO BONO ATTORNEYS IN THE ALIGHT LEGAL NETWORK REPRESENTING EXPERTISE IN OVER 20 LEGAL AREAS, ALONG WITH ADDITIONAL ATTORNEYS TO SUPPORT SURVIVORS ACROSS THE US. ALIGHT CONTINUED TO WORK WITH THE SURVIVOR ADVISORY, COMPOSED OF FIVE SURVIVOR LEADERS FROM FOUR DIFFERENT STATES TO PROVIDE INSIGHTS FROM THEIR LIVED EXPERIENCE TO IMPROVE PROGRAMMING AND SUPPORT ALIGHT'S RESPONSIBLE SCALING. WE ARE GREATLY STRENGTHENED BY THE GENEROUS IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS THAT ALLOW ALIGHT TO OPERATE EFFECIENTLY AND BENEFIT AS MANY LIVES AS POSSIBLE. ALIGHT VOLUNTEER ATTORNEYS PROVIDED SUPPORT TO SURVIVORS IN OVER 25 LEGAL AREAS. ORGANIZATIONAL VOLUNTEERS AND OTHER IN-KIND CONTRIBUTIONS ARE VALUED TO HAVE PROVIDED $34,375 TO THE ORGANIZATION.IN THE INTEREST OF SURVIVOR PRIVACY AND SERVICE EXPEDIENCY, FULSOME DATA COLLECTION FROM SURVIVORS AND PARTNERS AT THE TIME OF SERVICE IS LIMITED. THERE ARE OCCASIONS THAT ALIGHT OBTAINS ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND REVISES RESULTS ACCORDINGLY.NATIONAL SURVIVOR LAW COLLECTIVEAT THE HEIGHT OF THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC IN 2020, ALIGHT FOUNDED THE NATIONAL SURVIVOR LAW COLLECTIVE (NSL COLLECTIVE) ALONG WITH OTHER U.S. ORGANIZATIONS FOCUSED ON PROVIDING FREE LEGAL SERVICES TO VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF ALL FORMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING, REGARDLESS OF GENDER IDENTITY, NATIONALITY OR AGE. THE NSL COLLECTIVE WORKS TO PROVIDE A STRONG COLLECTIVE RESPONSE TO THIS POPULATION'S LEGAL AND OTHER NEEDS ACROSS THE U.S. THE NSL COLLECTIVE OPERATES THE ONLY NATIONAL LISTSERV OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING-FOCUSED LEGAL SERVICES PROVIDERS. IT HAS DELIVERED 19 TRAININGS TO OVER 593 PRO BONO AND NONPROFIT ATTORNEYS.TRAININGS:IN FISCAL YEAR 2022, ALIGHT PROVIDED TRAININGS TO SUPPORT OVER 580 ATTORNEYS, COURT OFFICERS, JUDGES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, ANTI-TRAFFICKING EXPERTS, LAW STUDENTS AND THE COMMUNITY TO IMPROVE HUMAN TRAFFICKING SURVIVORS' ACCESS TO JUSTICE AND SUPPORT TRAUMA-INFORMED AND CULTURALLY-COMPETENT LEGAL SERVICES FOR THIS POPULATION. THE VENUES INCLUDED THE MOSAICS PROGRAM, VILLANOVA LAW SCHOOL AND THE UTAH STATE BAR YOUNG LAWYERS DIVISION.
