EQUALITY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. 3. OPPORTUNITY FOR BUILDING STRONG RELATIONS BETWEEN ALL PEOPLE. 4. EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND SERVICES 5. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE YOUTH OF FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP 6. UNITY CELEBRATIONS FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY ONE OF THE HALLMARK ACTIVITIES CENTERS AROUND THE ANNUAL FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING COMMUNITY BREAKFAST. THE BREAKFAST IS A TRUE COMMUNITY CELEBRATION REFLECTING THE RICHNESS AND DIVERSITY OF THE TOWNSHIP. EACH YEAR 400-500 PEOPLE GATHER TO CELEBRATE AND COMMEMORATE THE LIFE AND WORK OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. REPRESENTING VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THE FRANKLIN COMMUNITY INCLUDING CIVIC, RELIGIOUS, GOVERNMENT, LAW ENFORCEMENT, BUSINESS, EDUCATION, ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT, ETC. SINCE 1998 THE ORGANIZATION HAS AWARDED OVER 200 FRANKLIN HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATING SENIORS WITH SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING MORE THAN 250,000. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GIVEN TO FRANKLIN HIGH SENIORS, REGARDLESS OF RACE OR RELIGION, WHO ARE CANDIDATES AT AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL, HAVE DEMONSTRATED A RECORD OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND VOLUNTEERISM, AND HAVE SHOWN OUTSTANDING CITIZENSHIP WITHIN THE HIGH SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2023, THE ORGANIZATION AWARDED 10 SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING 7,500.
