THE MAIN OBJECTIVES FOR PUTTING TOGETHER THE NEW YORK STATE ALL-STAR ALLIANCE (NYSAA), A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IS TO HELP FOSTER BETTER RELATIONSHIPS AMONGST ALL COMPETITIVE ALL-STAR CHEERLEADING PROGRAMS IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK, AS WELL AS DEVELOP A STANDARD BY WHICH EACH PROGRAM IS EXPECTED TO ABIDE BY. THE NYSAA SHOWCASE IS ORGANIZED, AT THE END OF THE COMPETITIVE SEASON TO RAISE MONEY TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO ALL-STAR ATHLETES BASED ON LEADERSHIP, CHARACTER REFERENCE, WRITTEN ESSAY, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND DEDICATION TO THE SPORT. THE SCHOLARSHIP BEING OFFERED IS AVAILABLE TO ANY NEW YORK STATE CHEERLEADER WHO IS A MEMBER OF A COMPETITIVE ALL-STAR GYM IN NEW YORK STATE AND ATTENDS THE NYSAA SHOWCASE WITH THEIR MEMBER GYM. ALSO, A SMALL PORTION OF THE FUNDS RAISED BY THE NYSAA SHOWCASE IS USED TO ORGANIZE AN ANNUAL CLINIC TO HELP EDUCATE NEW YORK STATE COACHES AND/OR THEIR ATHLETES IN DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF THE SPORT.
