THE FOUNDATION STRIVES TO CHANGE LIVES AND INFLUENCE YOUNG WOMEN OF THE STATE OF NEVADA. THE FOUNDATION PROUDLY OFFERS ACADEMIC AND COMMUNITY-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDIES, AS WELL AS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THOSE YOUNG WOMEN ATTENDING MEDICAL SCHOOL, WORKING IN SPECIAL AREAS FOR MILITARY SERVICE AWARENESS, AND IN THE PERFORMING ARTS.

MISS NEVADA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION SPONSORED TWO PAGEANTS, THE MISS NEVADA AND THE MISS NEVADA OUTSTANDING TEEN, TO STRIVE TO CHANGE LIVES AND INFLUENCE YOUNG WOMEN IN THE STATE OF NEVADA. CONTESTANTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO EARN SCHOLARSHIPS WHICH TOTAL OVER $50,000. THE FOUNDATION, FOLLOWING THE EXAMPLE OF MISS AMERICA FOUNDATION, INTENDS TO JOIN EDUCATION LEADERS IN ADVOCATING FOR MORE YOUNG WOMEN TO CHOOSE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) FIELDS IN ALL LEVELS OF EDUCATION.
