A PRACTICE SPECIALIST PREPARES THE PATIENT FOR THE FEARFUL PROCEDURE BY A SERIES OF "DRY RUNS". THESE ARE CAPACITY-BUILDING PRACTICE SESSIONS (OFTEN AT FIRST ONE-ON-ONE AND EVENTUALLY WITH TRAINED MEDICAL PERSONNEL) THAT WORK TOWARD COMPLETED TREATMENT.
