Part 3

WE PLAN ON HOLDING THE BELOW EVENT IN 2022, IF COVID 19 CONDITIONS IMPROVE AND THE COUNTY ALLOWS US TO HOLD SUCH EVENT WITH PROPER PPE AND SAFEGUARDS. ON MAY 11, 2019, THE 5TH SKYBOT CHALLENGE EVENT HELD AT LEAVITT MS AND HS IN CLARK COUNTY NV, WITH 7 TEAMS FROM 5 SCHOOLS AND OVER 39 STUDENTS. SIMILAR TO PRIOR YEARS, EACH TEAM WAS CALLED A CORPORATION, WITH DIFFERENT INDUSTRY APPLICATIONS OF SKYBOTS FROM AGRICULTURE TO EMERGENCYRESPONSE, ENGAGED IN THE FIRST OF ITS KIND COMPETITION, BY PRESENTING BUSINESS PLANS AND FLYING THEIR SKYBOTS THROUGH AN OBSTACLE RACE. THIS OBSTACLE RACETRACK AND CONTROL SYSTEM WAS DEVELOPED AND BUILT BY PARTNERS FROM ROBOTICS FOR STEM, FROM RIDGECREST CA. THE EVENT WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ATTRACTED A TOTAL OF 100+ SPECTATORS FROM THE COMMUNITY TO MEET THE TEAMS AND ENJOY THE SKYBOT FLYING. ABOUT 25 OR SO VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED OVER 300+ HOURS OF THEIR TIME TO THE MAY 11TH EVENT. THESE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED VOLUNTEER-TIME AVERAGING THE 300+ HOURS TO THIS EFFORT FOR THE 2019 COMPETITION, INCLUDING VIDEO RENDERING AND PROMOTION ON THE NONPROFIT'S WEBSITE. ROBOTICSS HAVE BEEN PART OF COMPETITIONS FOR MANY YEARS. WITH THE ADVENT OF AIRBORNE DRONES, OR SKYBOTS, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE THIRD DIMENSION AND ADDITIONAL ASPECTS, GETS ADDED. NEVADA IS STILL THE FIRST IN THE NATION WITH THIS TYPE OF COMPETITION.
