BRINGING QUALITY HEALTHCARE INITIATIVES TO THE UNDERSERVED. INCREASING HEALTH LITERACY AND AWARENESS AMONG POPULATIONS MOST AT RISK. ALL THE ORGANIZATIONS INITIATIVES AIM TOWARD THIS GOAL. SOMOS CONTINUES AS A SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL DETERMENT OF HEALTH NETWORK.

DURING 2021 SOMOS ENGAGED CONTRACT SERVICES TO PROVIDED A WIDE RANGE OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR NEW YORK CITY'S MOST VULNERABLE POPULATIONS IN ADDITION TO PROVIDING FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FOR ITS NETWORK PHYSICIANS. MUCH OF SOMOS COMMUNITY CARE'S ACTIVITIES WERE CENTERED AROUND COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATION. SOMOS DURING THIS TIME SET UP POP-UP TESTING AND VACCINATION SITES, INCLUDING: 125 TRILINGUAL DRIVE-UP AND WALK-UP TESTING SITES, AND BILINGUAL COVID-19 VACCINATION AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS WHICH INCLUDED SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEBINARS. IN JANUARY 2021, SOMOS COMMUNITY CARE OPENED AND MANAGED THREE NYC WORKFORCE MASS COVID-19 VACCINATION CENTERS, THESE LOCATIONS INCLUDED YANKEES STADIUM IN THE BRONX, THE AQUEDUCT IN QUEENS, AND CITI FIELD IN QUEENS. SOMOS COMMUNITY CARE PARTNERED WITH NEW YORK CITY'S DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO PROVIDE COVID-19 TESTING FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN. AS OF JULY 2022, SOMOS HAS SUCCESSFULLY ADMINISTERED 653,889 COVID-19 TESTS TO NYC STUDENTS. BEGINNING IN MARCH 2021, SOMOS WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE NYC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION COVID-19 RESULTS THROUGH THE MISOMOS APP. ON APRIL 28, 2021, SOMOS NETWORK PROVIDERS BECAME THE FIRST NETWORK OF PHYSICIANS TO OFFER COVID-19 VACCINATIONS AT THEIR PRACTICES DUE TO THE ADVOCACY OF SOMOS FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN DR. RAMON TALLAJ. ON AUGUST 25, 2021, SOMOS LAUNCHED A COVID-19 VACCINATION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR CHILDREN "SOMOS HEROES" ("WE ARE HEROES").FROM AUGUST UNTIL THE END OF DECEMBER 2021, SOMOS CONTINUED TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF SEEING PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN AND KEEPING UP WITH ADULT AND CHILDREN'S ROUTINE VACCINATION SCHEDULES. TO SUMMARIZE, THE ESSENTIAL MISSION OF SOMOS IS DEFINED BY ALL ITS INITIATIVES WHICH ADDRESS THE HUMAN PERSON IN ITS TOTALITY.
