THIS AMOUNT CONSISTS OF THE TOTAL EXPENSE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CANCER NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ($67204.88 SUPPLY CHAIN + $31348.16 + 2496.81 ASSOCIATED PROGRAM STAFF TIME/TAX + $10170 STORAGE). THE CANCER NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM OFFERS MEDICALLY TAILORED GROCERY PACKAGES TO PATIENTS IN ACTIVE CANCER TREATMENT, RECENT SURVIVORS (UP TO 18 MONTHS AFTER LAST TREATMENT), AND THOSE IN THEIR HOUSEHOLDS. THIS IS A NO-COST PROGRAM TO RECIPIENTS, PRIORITIZING EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION AND OPPORTUNITY TO ACCESS NUTRIENT-RICH GROCERIES DESPITE CANCER TYPE, AGE, INCOME LEVEL, GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION, OR RACE. THE 2021 OUTCOME FOR THIS PROGRAM INCLUDED SOURCING, ASSEMBLY, AND DISTRIBUTION OF OVER 90,000 EQUIVALENT MEALS ACROSS 150 MAINE TOWNS, IMPACTING 1,000 INDIVIDUALS. 80 VOLUNTEERS ENSURE THE RELIABILITY, SAFETY, AND FRIENDLINESS OF THE PROGRAM THROUGH ASSEMBLY AND DISTRIBUTION AT TWO PARTNER HOSPITAL PICK-UP SITES AND HOME DELIVERY ACROSS 11,500 SQUARE MILES.
THIS AMOUNT WAS DIRECTED TOWARDS PROGRAMMATIC INVESTMENT OF THE 0 DIRIGO DRIVE, BREWER, ME 04412 1.53 ACRE PROPERTY. THE $2560.82 WAS THE AMOUNT OF INTEREST EXPENSE ASSOCIATED IN 2021 WITH THIS PIECE OF PROPERTY. THE CHRISTINE B. FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO INVEST IN AND RECOMMIT THEMSELVES TO THE INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS FOR GREATER COMPREHENSIVE AND COLLABORATIVE SERVICES. THIS PROPERTY WAS IDENTIFIED AS THE LOCATION WITH GREATEST RETURN FOR PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS AND PARTNERSHIP ENGAGEMENT, IN 2017.
