THIS INCLUDES THE TOTAL EXPENSE OF THE CANCER NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SUPPLY CHAIN, ASSOCIATED PERSONNEL TIME, AND STORAGE). THE CANCER NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM OFFERS MEDICALLY TAILORED GROCERY PACKAGES TO PATIENTS IN ACTIVE TREATMENT, RECENT SURVIVORS, AND THOSE IN THEIR HOUSEHOLDS. THIS IS A NO-COST PROGRAM TO RECIPIENTS, PRIORITIZING EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION AND OPPORTUNITY TO ACCESS NUTRIENT-RICH GROCERIES DESPITE CANCER TYPE, AGE, INCOME LEVEL, GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION, OR RACE. THE 2023 MAJOR OUTCOMES FOR THIS PROGRAM INCLUDE SOURCING, ASSEMBLING, AND DISTRIBUTING 118,080 EQUIVALENT MEALS ACROSS 110 MAINE TOWNS TO 412 PATIENTS (A TOTAL REACH OF 1,030 INDIVIDUALS). 120 VOLUNTEERS ENSURE THE PROGRAM'S RELIABILITY, SAFETY, AND FRIENDLINESS THROUGH ASSEMBLY AND DISTRIBUTION AT HOSPITAL PICK UP SITES AND HOME DELIVERY ACROSS 11,500 SQUARE MILES.
THIS AMOUNT WAS DIRECTED TOWARDS THE PROGRAMMATIC INVESTMENT OF 0 DIRIGO DRIVE, BREWER, ME 04412 1.53 ACRE PROPERTY. THE 2,474 WAS THE AMOUNT OF INTEREST EXPENSE ASSOCIATED IN 2023 WITH THE PIECE OF PROPERTY. THE CHRISTINE B. FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO INVEST AND RECOMMIT ITSELF TO THE INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS FOR GREATER COMPREHENSIVE AND COLLABORATIVE SERVICES.
