THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS AN ONGOING SERIES OF LOCAL MEETINGS DEALING WITH HISTORY AND HERITAGE, AND OTHER ISSUES IN THE COMMUNITY. THE AFRICAN AMERICAN HERITAGE TRAIL IS AN EFFORT TO FURTHER DOCUMENT AND ILLUSTRATE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY WITHIN WINCHESTER,KY. THE ORGANIZATION UTILIZES ARTICLES, BOOKS, MEETINGS, AND OTHER EVENTS TO FOSTER COMMUNICATION AND UNDERSTANDING, AND TO STIMULATE APPRECIATION FOR THE DIVERSITY OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY.
