THE RILEY'S WAY FOUNDATION, INC. (THE "FOUNDATION") WAS ESTABLISHED ON AUGUST 19, 2014. THE FOUNDATION DEVELOPS PROGRAMMING AND PROVIDES GRANT FUNDING FOR THE PURPOSE OF EMPHASIZING THE VALUE OF KINDNESS AND EMPATHY AMONG HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS IN ORDER TO INVEST IN AND SUPPORT THE NEXT GENERATION OF KIND LEADERS. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES SEED FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY BASED SOCIAL IMPACT PROJECTS, LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND SKILL BUILDING CURRICULUM, LEADERSHIP RETREATS, COACHING AND 1:1 PROJECT SUPPORT, AND A COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE FOR YOUNG LEADERS (AGES 13-22). THE FOUNDATION HAS THREE ESTABLISHED PROGRAMS INCLUDING THE CALL FOR KINDNESS, COUNCILS AND CHAPTERS, AND YOUTH LEADERSHIP RETREATS. IN 2022, THE CALL FOR KINDNESS FUNDED 35 HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE PROJECTS AND 5 CONTINUATION PROJECTS, WHICH INCLUDED 100 FELLOWS NATIONWIDE. PROJECTS TACKLED A RANGE OF SOCIAL ISSUES SUCH AS ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, MENTAL HEALTH, FOOD INSECURITY, AND HOMELESSNESS. OUR NEW YORK CITY BASED COUNCIL PROGRAM HAD ROUGHLY 100 HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS THIS YEAR FROM SIX DIFFERENT SCHOOL THAT WORKED TOGETHER ON VARIOUS ISSUES IN THEIR COMMUNITY SUCH AS FOOD INSECURITY AND EDUCATION EQUITY. OUR YOUTH LEADERSHIP RETREAT BROUGHT TOGETHER NEARLY 100 YOUNG LEADERS FROM HIGH SCHOOLS AROUND THE COUNTRY TO BUILD LEADERSHIP SKILL TOGETHER FOR A WEEKEND AT A CAMP IN NEW YORK AND NETWORK WITH EACH OTHER THROUGH PROGRAMING AND OTHER VIRTUAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
