HOSPICE CARE BY PENNSWOOD VILLAGE (HCPV) CONTINUES TO PROVIDE OUTREACH AND EDUCATION TO THE COMMUNITY. HCPV OFFERS A BEREAVEMENT GROUP AND A BIANNUAL MEMORIAL SERVICE, WHICH IS OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY. HCPV OFFERS ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND DEMENTIA CARE, SENSITIVITY AND HOSPICE TRAINING FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. HCPV HAS DEDICATED STAFF WITH A STRONG VOLUNTEER PROGRAM, VOLUNTEER HOURS EXCEEDING 19% OF TOTAL PATIENT HOURS. HOSPICE CARE BY PENNSWOOD VILLAGE (HCPV), GUIDED BY QUAKER PRINCIPLES AND TRADITIONS, HONORS THOSE WE ARE PRIVILEGED TO SERVE BY PROVIDING PERSON-CENTERED CARE DURING THE END STAGES OF LIFE. HCPV'S VISION IS THAT WE WILL DEVELOP A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT VALUING THE LIGHT WITHIN EACH PERSON ALLOWING THOSE WE SERVE TO MAXIMIZE THE QUALITY OF THEIR LIVES AS THEY PROGRESS THROUGH THE END STAGES OF LIFE. THROUGH EXCELLENCE IN PERSONALIZED CARE AND INNOVATION, HCPV SEEKS TO MEET THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF THOSE WE SERVE. HCPV HAS PROVIDED HOSPICE CARE TO 32 PATIENTS THIS PAST YEAR. HCPV PROVIDES ONGOING EDUCATION TO THE COMMUNITY, FAMILY MEMBERS, STAFF, AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS IN REGARD TO A VARIETY OF TOPICS AND ISSUES.
