STRENGTHEN THE LIVES OF YOUTH IN FOSTER CARE THROUGH SUPPORTIVE HOUSING AND PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE HOPE, HEALING AND INDEPENDENCE.

SIBLINGS HOME: GHH PROVIDES A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT DESIGNED TO KEEP SIBLING GROUPS TOGETHER FOLLOWING A REMOVAL FROM THEIR FAMILY HOME. THE GOAL IS TO KEEP THE CHILDREN TOGETHER AND OFFER A SAFE HOME-LIKE ENVIRONMENT ALLOWING THEIR PARENTS TO WORK A CASE PLAN WITH THE GOAL OF REUNIFICATION BEING THE FINAL RESULT. ASIDE FROM THE FOOD, SHELTER AND SAFETY NECESSITIES, SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE TUTORING, EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY, FIELD TRIPS AND LIFE SKILLS TRAINING WORKSHOPS.


INDEPENDENT LIVING HOME: GHH PROVIDES HOUSING TO 18 YEAR OLD MALE, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AS THEY AGE OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM. WE SERVE AS A FAMILY SUPPORT IN ORDER TO HELP THEM ON THEIR WAY TO A SUCCESSFUL FUTURE INCLUDING LIFE SKILLS TRAINING, TUTORING THERAPY AND GOAL SETTING MEETINGS.


AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM INCLUDING, SUMMER LIFE SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM: GHH PROVIDES A LIFE SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM FOR FOSTER AND HOMELESS YOUTH IN THE HOMESTEAD COMMUNITY. WE MEET FOR EIGHT WEEKS IN THE SUMMER AND TAKE FIELD TRIPS EVERY FRIDAY. THE LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, HOUSING, FINANCIAL LITERACY, EDUCATION, COOKING, EMPLOYMENT READINESS AND HEALTH AND WELLNESS.
