SWNMACT EXISTS TO PRESERVE, ENHANCE, AND SUSTAIN RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES AND THE CREATIVE ECONOMY IN SOUTHWEST NEW MEXICO INCLUDING SILVER CITY AND GRANT COUNTY THROUGH EDUCATION, CULTURAL AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION, PROMOTION OF TOURISM AND ENGAGING THE COMMUNITY IN ARTS AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES.
SILVER CITY CLAY FESTIVAL: A SIGNATURE CELEBRATION OF CLAY GATHERING TOGETHER ARTISTS, EDUCATORS, ENTREPRENEURS, FAMILIES, YOUTH, ADVENTURERS, AND LIFELONG LEARNERS TO EXPLORE CLAY IN ITS MANY FORMS AS WELL AS ITS IMPACT ON OUR HISTORY, PRESENT AND FUTURE. THE FESTIVAL BUILDS APPRECIATION FOR CLAY AND ITS MANY ADAPTATIONS AND PROMOTES THE ARTISANS AND COMMUNITIES OF SOUTHWEST NEW MEXICO.
