HOSTED A GALA TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE MANY OF THE TALENTED MUSICIANS AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS THAT HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF CALLING LONG ISLAND THEIR HOME. INDUCTEES ARE SELECTED BY THE LONG ISLAND MUSIC HALL OF FAME BOARD OF DIRECTORS FROM AN EVOLVING AND GROWING LIST OF INVOLVED PEOPLE, ARTISTS, GROUPS, AND ENTITIES THAT WERE BORN, RAISED, FOUNDED OR HAVE RESIDED ON LONG ISLAND FOR A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THEIR CAREER OR EXISTENCE. ENTRANCE INTO THE HALL IS BASED ON HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE AND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO LONG ISLAND'S RICH MUSICAL HERITAGE.
RENOVATED A MOBILE VAN TO USE AS A MUSIC EDUCATION MUSEUM AND "TOUR BUS." THIS EDUCATIONAL MUSEUM ON WHEELS IS BEING DESIGNED TO SHOWCASE LONG ISLAND'S MUSICAL HERITAGE, AND WILL FEATURE INTERACTIVE DISPLAYS AND STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGY TO SHOWCASE THE LONG ISLAND'S DIVERSITY OF TALENT IN VIRTUALLY ALL MUSICAL GENRES. IT WILL BE VISITING SCHOOLS, EVENTS, MUSEUMS, AND OTHER PLACES OF INTEREST BEGINNING IN THE SUMMER OF 2017.
HOSTED A SUMMER CONCERT SERIES THAT SHOWCASED THE TALENTS OF SEVERAL MUSICIANS WHO ARE FROM LONG ISLAND. HOSTED A LECTURE SERIES TO PROMOTE ACHIEVEMENT IN THE FIELD OF MUSIC WITHIN LONG ISLAND. OFFERED "MASTER CLASSES" WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS CONDUCTED BY MUSIC INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS. AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO DESERVING YOUNG MUSICIANS AND MEMBERS OF YOUTH ORCHESTRAS.
