TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT CARE AND PROMOTE HEALTH WITH A FOCUS ON QUALITY, COLLABORATION AND COMPASSION. DURING 2022, BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER PROVIDED CHARITY CARE TO 8,643 PATIENTS AT A COST OF $13.3 MILLION.

BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER IS A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED NON-PROFIT, ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL, PROVIDING EXEMPLARY COMPREHENSIVE PATIENT CARE SERVICES, MEDICAL EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO RESIDENTS OF THE LINCOLN COMMUNITY, STATE OF NEBRASKA, AND OTHER STATES IN THE REGION. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER IS PART OF BRYAN HEALTH, ONE OF THE LARGEST NON-PROFIT HEALTH CARE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE REGION. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER IS THE LARGEST HOSPITAL IN LINCOLN, LICENSED FOR 664 BEDS AT TWO SEPARATE LOCATIONS. PREMIER SERVICES INCLUDE CARDIOLOGY, ORTHOPEDICS, TRAUMA, NEUROSCIENCE, MENTAL HEALTH, WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S HEALTH AND ONCOLOGY. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER IS THE COMMUNITY'S ONLY PROVIDER OF INPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND HAS HELPED THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS OVER THE YEARS THROUGH THE BRYAN INDEPENDENCE CENTER RESIDENTIAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT PROGRAM. DURING 2022, BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER ADMITTED 27,917 INPATIENTS, DELIVERED 3,131 BABIES, AND HAD 95,413 EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR THOSE IN NEED REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY. DURING 2022, BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER PROVIDED LIFE-SAVING PROCEDURES AND MEDICATIONS FOR OVER 8,643 INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY GOVERNMENT OR STATE SUPPORT, AND DID NOT HAVE THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES TO PAY THEIR HEALTH CARE SERVICES. UNREIMBURSED COST FOR CHARITY CARE TOTALED $13.3 MILLION. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER ALSO INCURRED $43.3 MILLION IN UNREIMBURSED MEDICARE COSTS, AND $70.0 MILLION IN MEDICAID COSTS AND SUPPORT OF OTHER PUBLIC PROGRAMS. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER SERVED 23,879 MEDICAID PATIENTS IN 2022. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER PROVIDED $3.9 MILLION IN THE SUPPORT OF HEALTH PROFESSIONALS' EDUCATION, THROUGH RESIDENCY PROGRAMS AND IN SUPPORT OF THE BRYAN COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES. DURING FALL 2022, THERE WERE 747 STUDENTS ENROLLED IN GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS THROUGH BRYAN'S SCHOOL OF NURSING, HEALTH PROFESSIONS AND NURSE ANESTHESIA PROGRAMS. COMMUNITY EDUCATION, SUPPORT PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES SUBSIDIZED BY THE MEDICAL CENTER TOTALED $1.8 MILLION. DONATIONS TO OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TOTALED MORE THAN $697,000. BRYAN MEDICAL CENTER'S QUANTIFIABLE COMMUNITY BENEFIT FOR 2023 TOTALED MORE THAN $144.9 MILLION.
