TO PROVIDE DEVELOPMENTALLY AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE EVALUATION AND THERAPY FOR CHILDREN WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF CONDITIONS DUE TO DISABILITY, INJURY OR ILLNESS.

MOST OF THE FAMILIES WE SERVE RESIDE IN STRAFFORD, ROCKINGHAM, CARROLL COUNTIES AS WELL AS YORK COUNTY IN MAINE. IN 2022 WE SEVERED OVER 600 FAMILIES, WITH 12,345 HOURS IN DIRECT OCCUPATIONAL, PHYSICAL, AND SPEECH THERAPY SERVICES IN-PERSON AND VIRTUALLY AND WERE ABLE TO DEVELOP, PLAN, AND RUN SEVERAL SPECIALTY PROGRAMS TO INCLUDE: HIPPOTHERAPY, AQUATICS THERAPY, FEEDING THERAPY, BRACE CLINIC, THEMED SOCIAL GROUPS, AND DEVELOP A SENSORY GARDEN. WE HAVE FAMILY SUPPORT GROUPS ALSO FOR AUTISTIC AND NEURODIVERSE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. WE HAVE COMMITTED TO ADVOCACY WORK ON BEHALF OF THOSE IN THE DISABILITY COMMUNITY THROUGH VOLUNTEERED TIME AT TRAUMA SUMMIT, PAID TIME PROVIDING IN-SERVICE TRAINING TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS, AND SIGNIFICANT NON-BILLABLE/(NON-REIMBURSABLE BY INSURANCE) TIME SPENT SUPPORTING FAMILIES BY PHONE, EMAIL, AND IN PERSON WITH IDENTIFYING AND ASSESSING RESOURCES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. WE PARTNER WITH 10 UNIVERSITIES AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE NEXT GENERATION OF THERAPISTS LEARNING REQUIREMENTS TO GIVE-BACK TO THE INDUSTRY, WITH A WELL-STRUCTURED PROGRAM BASED IN MENTORSHIP.
