DIRECT CASH DONATIONS TOTALING $700 TO THIS FOOD BANK. DONATIONS OF $950 OF GROCERY STORE GIFT CARDS TO FOUR NEEDY FAMILIES FOR CHRISTMAS. THE FAMILIES WERE SELECTED BY ARLINGTON COMMUNITY SERVICES AND CONSISTED OF 5 ADULTS AND 18 CHILDREN.


1. WE SPONSORED THE AKTION CLUB AT NORTH FLORIDA SCHOOL OF SPECIAL EDUCATION WHICH CONSISTED OF 19 MEMBERS. AFFILIATED WITH KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL AKTION CLUB IS THE ONLY SERVICE CLUB FOR ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. THIS AKTION CLUB HELPED WITH OUR KIWANIS CLUB'S VETERANS DAY FIELD OF HONOR EVENT HOLIDAY BELL RINGING FOR THE SALVATION ARMY A FOOD DRIVE WITH THE JUNIOR CIVITAN GROUP AND THE GOODWILL BAG IT UP DONATION DRIVE. 2. WE SPONSORED THE CIRCLE K INTERNATIONAL CKI CHARITY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH FLORIDA WHICH CONSISTED OF 15 MEMBERS. WE DONATED FUNDS FOR THEIR DUES AND CONFERENCE EXPENSES PAID TO CIRCLE K INTERNATIONAL STATE OF FLORIDA DISTRICT OF CKI AND SUWANEE DIVISION OF FLORIDA CKI. WE ALSO PARTICIPATED IN THEIR CHARITABLE VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PUMPKIN PATCH SERVICE PROJECT ISLE OF FAITH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH NORTHBANK RIVERWALK COMMUNITY CLEANUP INST. OF ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH & EDUCATION AND THE HOGANS CREEK CLEANUP GROUNDWORK JACKSONVILLE.


WE PURCHASED 192 DICTIONARIES AND DONATED THEM TO THIRD GRADERS AT ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LAKE LUCINA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARKWOOD HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND NORTH FLORIDA SCHOOL OF SPECIAL EDUCATION.


WE DONATED $500 TO SULZBACHER THE LARGEST HOMELESS SHELTER IN THE JACKSONVILLE AREA.
