THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ARISTO PROJECT ARE THE ORGANIZATION AND FACILITATION OF TWO CONFERENCES EACH YEAR, IN PRINCETON, NJ (SPRING) AND CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (FALL). THE CONFERENCES ARE SPONSORED BY AND HELD AT PRINCETON UNIVERSITY AND THE ILLINOIS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. APPROXIMATELY 300 STUDENTS (GRADUATE AND UNDERGRADUATE) ATTEND EACH CONFERENCE. EACH CONFERENCE FEATURES TWO KEYNOTE SPEAKERS FROM INDUSTRY, AND APPROXIMATELY 20 ADDITIONAL SPEAKERS AND PANELISTS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. CONFERENCES SUPPORT THE EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT ATTENDEES, PROVIDING THEM A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH LEADING EXPERTS IN ACADEMIA, INDUSTRY, AND GOVERNMENT IN A RELAXED INTELLECTUAL ENVIRONMENT TO CATALYZE DISCUSSIONS AND STRENGTHEN TIES ACROSS TRADITIONAL BOUNDARIES. THE CONFERENCES COVER SUBJECTS RANGING FROM HIGH-FREQUENCY ALGORITHMIC TRADING AND STATISTICAL ARBITRAGE TO MODEL CONSTRUCTION AND VALIDATION.
