THE MISSION OF CARE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS TO PROVIDE THE BEST OPPORTUNITY FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR THE CHILDREN IN THE OVERTOWN COMMUNITY WITHIN A NURTURING CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT WITHOUT ANY COST TO THE FAMILIES.

THE GOAL OF CARE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS TO PROVIDE A STRONG ACADEMIC FOUNDATION FOR LOW-INCOME STUDENTS IN OUR COMMUNITY WITH AN EMPHASIS ON LITERACY GIVING THEM THE SKILLS THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS. THE SCORES FOR THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR SHOWED THAT SEVENTY- FIVE PERCENT OF THE TOTAL STUDENT BODY SCORED AT OR ABOVE GRADE LEVEL ON THE NATIONALLY NORM REFERENCED STANDARDIZED TEST AND SEVENTY-ONE PERCENT SCORED AT GRADE LEVEL OR HIGHER IN MATH. CARE WAS FULLY ENROLLED FOR THE 2021-22 SCHOOL YEAR WITH 134 STUDENTS IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SIXTH GRADE.
CARE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ALSO PROVIDED FREE AFTER SCHOOL CARE FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING THE SCHOOL. STUDENTS RECEIVED HOMEWORK HELP FROM CERTIFIED TEACHERS LITERACY ENRICHMENT AND PARTICIPATED IN ZUMBA CLASSES FOUR DAYS A WEEK.
