SEA TURTLE RECOVERY IS DEDICATED TO THE REHABILITATION OF SEA TURTLES AND EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE SEA TURTLES

SEA TURTLE RECOVERY HAS ASSISTED A TOTAL OF 62 SEA TURTLES SINCE OPENING IN 2014, INCLUDING GREEN SEA TURTLE KEMP'S RIDLEY SEA TURTLE AND LOGGERHEAD SEA TURTLE SPECIES. THESE PATIENTS CAME FROM FIVE STATES INCLUDING MASSACHUSETTS, NEW YORK AND VIRGINIA, WHERE FACILITIES BEGAN TO REACH CAPACITY AND REQUESTED ASSISTANCE. ALSO, SINCE OUR OPENING, ALL OF NEW JERSEY'S SEA TURTLES NEEDING LONG-TERM CARE, WERE FINALLY ABLE TO RECEIVE TREATMENT RIGHT HERE IN THE STATE. PROUDLY, OF THESE 62 PATIENTS, 41 SEA TURTLES HAVE ALREADY RECOVERED AND BEEN RELEASED BACK TO THE WILD. IN ADDITION TO OUR REHABILITATION EFFORTS, SEA TURTLE RECOVERY CONTINUES TO BELIEVE IN OUR MISSION TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC. SEA TURTLE RECOVERY HAS NOW INTERACTED WITH OVER 5,300 PEOPLE OVER 70 INDIVIDUAL PRESENTATIONS THROUGHOUT NEW JERSEY. ZOO ATTENDANCE BROUGHT MORE THAN 750,000 VISITORS THROUGH THE PUBLIC EDUCATION AREA IN OUR HOSPITAL DURING 2019.
