Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

DURING 2018, IT BECAME INCREASINGLY APPARENT THAT THE RABBINIC LEADERS WHO ENABLED RENEWED JEWISH LEADERS TO BE SUCCESSFUL HAVE SHIFTED DRAMATICALLY. MOST DIRECTLY, THERE WAS A TOTAL CHANGE IN THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CONSERVATIVE JEWISH SECTOR. RABBI STEVE WERNICK STEPPED DOWN FROM HIS CEO POSITION AT THE UNITED SYNAGOGUE OF CONSERVATIVE JUDAISM, AN ORGANIZATION OF 600+ SYNAGOGUES. RABBI JULIE SCHONFELD IS LEAVING HER POST AS CEO OF THE RABBINICAL ASSOCIATION OF 1700 RABBIS. ALSO, MANY STRONG SUPPORTERS OF RENEWED JEWISH LEADERS HAVE RETIRED, INCLUDING RABBI PETER KNOBEL, FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE CENTRAL CONFERENCE OF AMERICAN RABBIS, AN ORGANIZATION OF 2100 REFORM RABBIS. AS A RESULT OF THESE CHANGES AND OTHERS RENEWED JEWISH LEADERS DID NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH ANY PROGRAMS IN 2018 AND INTENDS TO REASSESS ITS DIRECTION FOR PROGRAMS MOVING FORWARD.
