THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED AND FORMED IS FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE WELFARE OF PARRISH MEDICAL CENTER (A PUBLIC NON-PROFIT CORPORATION) (THE "HOSPITAL") CONSISTENT WITH THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF PARRISH MEDICAL CENTER AS APPROVED BY ITS GOVERNING BOARD. THIS PURPOSE SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH SERVICE TO PARRISH MEDICAL CENTER, TO THE PUBLIC, AND IN HARMONY WITH THE HEALTHCARE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY SERVED BY PARRISH MEDICAL CENTER. THE CORPORATION AS PART OF ITS CHARITABLE PURPOSES MAY ALSO MAKE DISTRIBUTIONS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT QUALIFY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OR THE CORRESPONDING SECTION OF ANY FUTURE FEDERAL TAX CODE.

THE CORPORATION WILL PROVIDE VOLUNTEERS TO THE HOSPITAL AND OPERATE THE GIFT SHOP WITH VOLUNTEERS.
THE CORPORATION INTENDS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO WILL STUDY MEDICINE OR A RELATED HEALTH CARE FIELDS.
THROUGH FEBRUARY 2020 THE CORPORATION WILL PROVIDE PHILIPS LIFELINE MEDICAL ALERT SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT TO SUBSCRIBERS WHO REQUIRE SUCH SERVICES . THE LIFELINE DEVICE WILL SEND A SIGNAL TO A MONITORED CALL CENTER SHOULD A USER NEED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. THE SYSTEM CAN ALSO DETECT FALLS. THIS PROGRAM IS STAFFED ENTIRELY WITH VOLUNTEERS.
