GCAMP IS A COALITION OF AREA MANUFACTURERS, EDUCATORS AT ALL LEVELS, TRADE ASSOCIATIONS, WORKFORCE BOARDS, MUNICIPAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPERS AND MORE. GCAMP WORKS TO BRING EVERYONE TOGETHER TO SOLVE THE SKILLS GAP EMPLOYMENT CRISIS THAT CURRENTLY CHALLENGES ALL MANUFACTURERS.

GCAMP INTRODUCES STUDENTS AND OTHER JOB SEEKERS TO HIGH-TECH, IN-DEMAND OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE FIELD OF MANUFACTURING IN ORDER TO BUILD A FUTURE MANUFACTURING WORKFORCE. GCAMP ACCOMPLISHES THIS BY HOSTING CAREER DEVELOPMENT MANUFACTURING TOURS; VISITING SCHOOLS TO SHARE INFORMATION ON MANUFACTURING CAREER PATHWAYS; CREATING AND DISSEMINATING CAREER PATHWAY RESOURCES ONLINE; AND PROMOTING WORK-BASED LEARNING, INTERNSHIPS, APPRENTICESHIPS, AND ENTRY-LEVEL JOB OPPORTUNITIES.
GCAMP CONNECTS CHICAGO AREA MANUFACTURERS WITH THEIR POTENTIAL FUTURE WORKFORCE. GCAMP ACCOMPLISHES THIS BY EDUCATING MANUFACTURERS ON EFFECTIVE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES AND INTRODUCING MANUFACTURERS TO EDUCATIONAL PARTNERS THROUGH MANUFACTURING BREAKFASTS AT LOCAL SCHOOLS, BRINGING MANUFACTURERS INTO SCHOOLS TO TALK WITH STUDENTS ABOUT CAREER PATHWAYS, AND SHARING WITH MANUFACTURERS OPPORTUNITIES WHERE THEY CAN BECOME INVOLVED IN LOCAL SCHOOLS.
