GRANTS PROGRAM: THE TRUST PROVIDES GRANTS TO CCUSA MEMBER AGENCIES, WHICH GRANTS WILL BE USED SOLELY IN CONNECTION WITH CCUSA'S MISSION AND THE MEMBER AGENCIES' POVERTY REDUCTION INITIATIVES IN THE UNITED STATES. THE GRANT PROGRAM EMBODIES THE TRUST'S EXEMPT PURPOSE BY ENABLING CCUSA TO CARRY OUT ITS MISSION, AND THE MISSION OF ITS MEMBER AGENCIES TO REDUCE POVERTY IN AMERICA, TO ELEVATE POVERTY AS A MORAL ISSUE AND TO ENGAGE PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE GRANT, THE POVERTY REDUCTION INITIATIVE MUST (A) BE RUN BY A CCUSA MEMBER AGENCY IN GOOD STANDING, (B) DEMONSTRATE PROVEN OUTCOMES OF POVERTY RELIEF PROGRAMS, (C) CONTAIN AN ELEMENT OF INNOVATION INSOFAR AS THE GRANTEE DOES MORE THAN PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, AND (D) DEMONSTRATE A FOCUS ON ACHIEVING MEASURABLE POVERTY REDUCTION.
