MG CHARITIES TRADITIONALLY HOSTS AN EVENT IN MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA. THIS EVENT, THE MIND OVER MATTER CHARITY CLASSIC, RAISES FUNDS FOR THE GIVENS BRAIN TUMOR CENTER, A PARTNERSHIP WITH ALLINA HEALTH. THE GIVENS BRAIN TUMOR CENTER AT ABBOTT NORTHWESTERN HOSPITAL IN MINNEAPOLIS WAS INTRODUCED IN 2016 WITH FUNDS RAISED FROM THE MIND OVER MATTER CHARITY CLASSIC EVENT. WHILE NO EVENT WAS ABLE TO BE HELD IN 2021 DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, $30,000 WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS CENTER DURING THE YEAR WITH FUNDS RAISED FROM PREVIOUS EVENTS. THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE GIVENS BRAIN TUMOR CENTER IS TO CREATE A WORLD-CLASS BRAIN TUMOR CENTER THAT FEATURES COORDINATED WHOLE PERSON CARE, INCLUDES STATE-OF-THE-ART DIAGNOSTICS, CONDUCTS AND PUBLISHES THE RESULTS OF LEADING EDGE CLINICAL RESEARCH, ATTRACTS THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST CLINICIANS, AND CONNECTS THE COMMUNITY.
