DAYCARE PROGRAM WE PROVIDE CHILDCARE SERVICES TO FAMILIES IN THE SOUTHWEST ATLANTA AREA. WE ADMIT CHILDREN REGARDLESS OF RACE, NATIONALITY OR RELIGIOUS BACKGROUND. WE SEEK TO IMPROVE THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE OF YOUNG CHILDREN AGES 6 WEEKS TO 12 YEARS OLD THROUGH DEVELOPMENTAL CHILD CARE AND EARLY LEARNING. WE FOCUS ON THE EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES AND INFORMATION TO THE FAMILIES. THE LEARNING DOMAINS INCLUDE: PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT AND MOTOR SKILLS;SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT;APPROACHES TO PLAY AND LEARNING; COMMUNICATION, LANGUAGE AND LITERACY SKILLS AS WELL AS COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT AND GENERAL KNOWLEDGE. THE CHILDREN ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PATICIPATE IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SPANISH LESSONS, CHORAL MUSIC CLASSES AND TAE KWON DO LESSONS.
PRE-K PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES QUALITY CARE FOR CHILDREN FROM SIX WEEKS OF AGE THROUGH AGE FOUR. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PREPARE CHILDREN FOR KINDERGARTEN. PARENTS DO NOT PAY A FEE FOR THIS PROGRAM. TRINITY HAS TWO PRE-K CLASSROOMS WITH 22 CHILDREN IN EACH CLASS. THE LEAD TEACHERS IN THE PROGRAM HOLD A B.A. DEGREE AND A MASTER'S DEGREE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. THE FUNDED PROGRAM IS A 6.5 HOUR INSTRUCTIONAL DAY.
FOOD PROGRAM THIS PROGRAM IS ADMINISTERED BY BRIGHT FROM THE START AND IS FUNDED BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA). THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO ENSURE THE CHILDREN IN OUR CENTER HAVE ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS MEALS WHILE THEY ARE IN OUR CARE. THE PROGRAM RUNS WHEN SCHOOL IS IN SESSION AND DURING THE SUMMER WHEN SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION.
