TROY UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION IS THE GIFT RECEIVING ENTITY FOR TROY UNIVERSITY. ALL GIFTS BENEFIT UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS. THE GIFTS FROM ALUMNI, FRIENDS, BUSINESSES, CORPORATIONS, AND FOUNDATIONS PROVIDE THE FUNDS FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND EQUIPMENT.
UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA IS A PUBLIC RESEARCH UNIVERSITY IN TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA. IT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1820 AND OPENED TO STUDENTS IN 1831. THE UNIVERSITY IS THE OLDEST AND LARGEST OF THE PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES IN ALABAMA AS WELL AS THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA SYSTEM.
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA PROVIDES THE NATION'S FOREMOST YOUTH PROGRAM OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND VALUES-BASED LEADERSHIP TRAINING, WHICH HELPS YOUNG PEOPLE BE "PREPARED FOR LIFE". THE SCOUTING ORGANIZATION IS COMPOSED OF APPROXIMATELY 2.2 MILLION YOUTH MEMBERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5 AND 21 AND APPROXIMATELY 800,000 VOLUNTEERS IN LOCAL COUNCILS THROUGHTOUT THE UNITED STATES AND ITS TERRITORIES.
WIREGRASS UNITED WAY WORKS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO RAISE AWARENESS AND FUNDS FOR THE COMMUNITY AND AGENCIES. THEY COORDINATE WORKPLACE CAMPAIGNS WITH HUNDREDS OF EMPLOYEES AND ADVOCATE FOR POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, INCOME AND HEALTH. THEIR GOAL IS TO CREATE LASTING CHANGES THAT PREVENT PROBELMS FROM HAPPENING IN THE FIRST PLACE.
