Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
IN 2017, BATTLE BUDDIES OF CENTRAL OREGON WAS ABLE TO KEEP A VETERAN FROM HAVING TO RE-HOME HIS SERVICE DOG DUE TO REACTIVITY ISSUES WITH ANOTHER PET DOG BY REHABBING HIS BEHAVIOR. WE WERE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE MEDICAL CHECK UP OF A HOMELESS VETERAN'S DOG AND FOSTERED HIM FOR THREE MONTHS, OFFERING A LITTLE REPRIEVE WHILE HE TRIED TO IMPROVE HIS SITUATION. WE ALSO PAID FOR THE MEDICAL CARE FOR ANOTHER HOMELESS VETERAN'S DOG. AMAZINGLY ENOUGH, THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO PREVENT THE SUICIDE OF ANOTHER VETERAN THROUGH OUR ONLINE SOCIAL NETWORK SUPPORT GROUP IN REAL TIME. WE PLACED SIX CANINES WITH VETERANS AND HAD SIX IN TRAINING THROUGH GROUP, PRIVATE, AND BOARDING/TRAINING SESSIONS. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO MAINTAIN A FINANCIAL BUFFER AS WE MOVED INTO THE NEXT YEAR BY CUTTING EXPENSES AND DEVELOPED OUR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO GOVERN THE NON-PROFIT.
