(LHEC) IS A NON- PROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYERS EDUCATION, FINANCIAL LITERACY, CREDIT COUNSELING, FORECLOSURE PREVENTION AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES BY ENSURING THAT EACH ORGANIZATION ADHERES TO THE LHEC'S CORE CURRICULUM AND QUALITY STANDARDS; AND ANNUALLY CERTIFY THOSE ORGANIZATIONS THAT MEET THE LHEC'S CURRICULUM AND STANDARDS SO THAT PROSPECTIVE HOMEBUYERS ARE ASSURED A QUALITY FINANCIAL EDUCATION.

A PROCESS AND PLAN FOR NEW ORLEANS TO ACHIEVE AFFORDABILITY IN HOUSING AT ALL LEVELS. HOUSING NOLA RELEASED ITS FIRST REPORT AT THE END OF 2015, WHICH IS SERVING AS A GUIDE FOR NON-PROFITS, GOVERNMENT AND THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO CREATE EQUITABLE, SUSTAINABLE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR ALL NEW ORLEANS.
FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM: OFFERS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS TO LEARN ABOUT NEW ORLEANS HOUSING ISSUES FOR A WIDE ARRAY OF EXPERIENCED AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROFESSIONALS. THROUGH THE MENTORSHIP OF THESE PROFESSIONALS, FELLOWS DEVELOP THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO BEGIN ADVOCATING FOR AFFORDABLE, EQUITABLE, AND SAFE HOUSING IN NEW ORLEANS AND BEYOND.
