DUE TO COVID-19, THE 2021 CENTRAL VIRGINIA CELTIC FESTIVAL AND HIGHLAND GAMES WERE NOT HELD. THIS ANNUAL EVENT IS NORMALLY HELD IN OCTOBER AT THE RICHMOND RACEWAY COMPLEX BRINGING THE JOY OF CELTIC CULTURE TO CENTRAL VIRGINIA, SHOWCASING TRADITIONAL HIGHLAND DANCE, MUSIC, GAMES, FOOD, AND GATHERING OF CLANS. THE TWO DAY EVENT IS FULL OF CELTIC COMPETITIONS - ATHLETIC AND MUSICAL - AND MANY ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.
DURING 2021, THE ORGANIZATION DONATED A TOTAL OF $25,000 TO TWO CHARITIES FROM THE PROCEEDS OF PAST EVENTS. THE DONATIONS ARE REPORTED ON THE STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONAL EXPENSES AND ON SCHEDULE I AS REQUIRED.
