THE ORGANIZATION GENERATES REVENUE AND INCURS EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH SILENT AUCTIONS HELD AT GOLF EVENTS, AND OTHER CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING DISTRIBUTIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 170(B)(1)(A) AND 170(C) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. THE ORGANIZATION CREATED A CRISIS FUND INTENDED TO PROVIDE BASIC NECESSITIES AND TEMPORARY RELIEF TO THE MEET THE NECESSITIES OF LIFE OF PERSONS WHO ARE NEEDY AS A DIRECT RESULT OF A DISASTER, PERSONAL OR FAMILY ILLNESS, EMERGENCIES BEYOND THEIR CONTROL. THE CRISIS FUND SERVES ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES OF THE ORGANIZATION AND ITS AFFILIATES, AND THOSE EMPLOYEES' DEPENDENTS. AN INDEPENDENT CRISIS FUND GRANT COMMITTEE REVIEWS ALL APPLICATIONS AND REQUIRES A MAJORITY VOTE TO MAKE OR DENY A GRANT. GRANT'S MAY NOT EXCEED 2,000 PER APPLICATION; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, IN EXTRAORDINARY CIRCUMSTANCES A GRANT IN EXCESS OF 2,000 MAY BE MADE WITH THE APPROVAL OF A TWO-THIRDS (2/3) MAJORITY OF THE COMMITTEE.
