DURGA TREE INTERNATIONAL, INC'S PRIMARY MISSION IS TO SUPPORT CHARITIES THAT ARE COMMITTED TO THE ERADICATION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AROUND THE GLOBE BY PROVIDING MARKETING AND FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES SO THAT THE CHARITIES THEMSELVES CAN SPEND MORE OF THEIR RESOURCES DIRECTLY COMBATING THIS WORLD-WIDE ISSUE.

THE ORGANIZATION HELD TWO MAIN FUNDRAISING EVENTS AND COLLECTED DONATIONS THROUGHOUT 2018. FROM THE PROCEEDS OF THIS, THE ORGANIZATION DONATED 51,769 TO VARIOUS CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE INVOLVED IN THE ERADICATION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND TRAVELED TO SHELTERS TO PERSONALLY ASSIST THE CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS.
BLOOM IS A WHOLE-PERSON MODEL OF COLLABORATIVE PSYCHO-SOCIAL CARE FOR SURVIVORS OF ABUSE, FORCED LABOR, OR SEXUAL EXPLOITATION. DURGA TREE AND ITS PARTNERS WILL ENROLL THESE WOMEN INTO THE PROGRAM AS MEMBERS OF A SELF HELP GROUP (SHG) AND OFFER THEM WHOLE-PERSON THERAPIES, LIFE SKILLS, AND ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT. EACH LOCATION CHOSEN AS A BRANCH OF THE DURGA TREE BLOOM PROGRAM WILL BECOME A SELF-SUSTAINING ENTITY THAT WILL PRODUCE MERCHANDISE SPECIFIC TO THE REGION, USED TO EDUCATE CONSUMERS REGARDING THEIR ROLE IN THESE WOMEN'S LIVES BY DIFFERENTIATING BETWEEN SLAVE MADE AND FAIR TRADE GOODS. THIS EDUCATION PROCESS WILL CREATE A TRANS-GLOBAL BRIDGE BETWEEN CONSUMER AND PRODUCER, THEREBY ENHANCING THE CONCEPT OF A GLOBAL COMMUNITY.
