TREES TO SEAS CREATES COMMUNITY THROUGH EDUCATION AND PARTICIPATION; INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CONSERVATION AND STEWARDSHIP OF THE OCEAN AND THE SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENTS.

Part 3

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUFFICIENT TRAINING TO VOLUNTEERS TO PERFORM STREAM, BEACH, AND WATER CLEAN UP. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVE CERTIFICATION. WITH THIS ENTRY LEVEL CERTIFICATION THE VOLUNTEER CAN COLLECT DEBRIS FROM THE OCEAN FLOOR UP TO 60 FEET DEEP. SUFFICIENT TRAINING IS ALSO PROVIDED IN WATER QUALITY TESTING.


THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TO PRESERVE CORAL REEFS THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN INVASIVE SPECIES REMOVAL, REEF GROWTH AND PRESERVATION. STUDENTS PARTNER WITH SPECIALISTS TO UNDERSTAND THE IMPACT OF INVASIVE SPECIES, DEBRIS AND GLOBAL WARMING ON REEF LIFE.
