AT HUMAN PACE, THEY ARE ENLIVENING THE WORLD THAT THEY CAN SEE AND TOUCH. IN GENERATIONAL TIME, THEY ARE STITCHING RELATIONSHIP ACROSS RUPTURE. ON BEING'S CONVERSATIONS ON-AIR AND OFF CREATE OPENINGS. IN A POLITICAL AND CULTURAL SPACE THAT REWARDS FEAR, FERMENTS ARGUMENT, AND HASTENS CLOSURE, ON BEING NOURISHES LEARNING AND GROWTH, NEWNESS AND EVOLUTION.IN THE POST-2020 WORLD, WE ARE ORIENTING AROUND THE PRECIOUS AND POWERFUL TRUST AND DEPTH THE ON BEING ETHOS HAS ACHIEVED, EVEN WITHIN A LARGER CULTURE OF MISTRUST AND POLARIZATION. WE DO NOT SET OUT TO BUILD A MOVEMENT, BUT IT IS A WORD PEOPLE OFTEN INVOKE TO DESCRIBE THE IMPRINT ON BEING HAS QUIETLY MADE OVER TWO DECADES. WE ARE DEEPENING OUR STEWARDSHIP OF THIS, OUR CONTRIBUTION TO REMAKING THE WORLD AHEAD, WITH AN ECOSYSTEM OF OFFERINGS: CONTENT FROM ON BEING STUDIOS: FY23 NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED: ON BEING'S SPRING 2023 PODCAST SEASON ORIENTED ON THE THEME OF EMERGENCE (THE PODCAST HAS ACHIEVED OVER 450 MILLION DOWNLOADS); IMMERSIVE EDITIONS OF THE PAUSE EMAIL NEWSLETTER; AND TWO PODCAST SEASONS OF POETRY UNBOUND, THE LAUNCH OF THE POETRY UNBOUND BOOK "50 POEMS TO OPEN YOUR WORLD" BY PDRAIG TUAMA, AND THE LAUNCH OF THE POETRY UNBOUND SUBSTACK WEEKLY NEWSLETTER.CONVENINGS: GATHERINGS LARGE AND SMALL AND "QUIET CONVERSATIONS" TO IGNITE THE EMERGENT LANDSCAPE OF MORAL IMAGINATION, COMMUNAL HEALING, AND SOCIAL CREATIVITY THE GENERATIVE NARRATIVE OF OUR TIME. IN FY23, WE PRESENTED "FOUNDATIONS FOR THE ART OF LIVING NOW" FOUR OFFERINGS, MORE WISDOM PRACTICE THAN PODCAST, OF VOCABULARY AND LIFE PRACTICE BEING APPLIED IN FAR-FLUNG PLACES THAT KRISTA TIPPETT ALSO PRESENTED AS A TED TALK IN APRIL 2023. IN THE CONTEXT OF OUR EXPERIMENTAL WISDOM APP SPACE, WE DEVELOPED AND PRESENTED DIGITAL RETREATS HOPE IS A MUSCLE, FINDING REPLENISHMENT, AND METABOLIZING COMPASSION. FROM THE WORK AND LEARNINGS OF FY23, WE ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH THE LAB'S DEVELOPMENT AND FORMAL LAUNCH. WE ARE AMBITIOUS ABOUT MAKING THE LAB'S OFFERINGS NOT MERELY FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSUMPTION BUT FOR THE MANY NETWORKS OF HEALING AND TRANSFORMATION THAT ARE IN THE ON BEING WORLD OF CONVERSATION, LISTENING, AND LIVING.A MORE MISSION-FRAMED WAY TO SAY THIS IS THAT WE INTEND FOR OUR LAB OFFERINGS TO NOURISH AND EQUIP COMMUNITIES OF ACCOMPANIMENT AMONG THE PEOPLE AND PROJECTS ALONG THE GENERATIVE LANDSCAPE OF OUR TIME. THERE IS A WORLD BEING REMADE FILLED WITH JOY, MORAL IMAGINATION, AND SOCIAL CREATIVITY, BUT IT'S LARGELY HIDDEN FROM VIEW. ON BEING PROJECT'S CONTRIBUTION TO THE GENERATIVE LANDSCAPE IS TO MAKE THIS WORLD, THIS DIFFERENT "STORY OF US", MORE VIBRANT AND MORE REAL AND TO BRING PEOPLE MORE FULLY INTO THEIR HUMANITY, THEIR VOCATION, AND THEIR AGENCY.
