SANTA BARBARA DANCE TRIBE OFFERS A WEEKLY WORSHIP SERVICE WHICH PROVIDES ITS CONGREGATION THE OPPORTUNITY TO DIRECTLY EXPERIENCE THE BODY AS GOD AND EXPRESS THEIR MOST AUTHENTIC SELVES THROUGH MEDITATION, MOVEMENT, AND MUSIC. THE CONGREGATION IS BETWEEN 80-140 PEOPLE AND MINISTERS ARE TRAINED IN PROVIDING FACILITATED SPIRITUAL JOURNEYS THROUGH MUSIC. CHURCH MEMBERS CREATE A WEEKLY ALTER WHERE PRACTITIONERS CAN PRAY, REFLECT AND MAKE OFFERINGS.
EMBODY IS A SOMATIC-BASED PRACTICE OF SELF-INQUIRY THAT CULTIVATES MOMENT-TO-MOMENT PRESENCE, PLAYFUL EXPLORATION, AND AUTHENTIC EXPRESSION, UTILIZING THE BODY AS A MEDIUM FOR TRANSFORMATION. IT CREATES A SOLID YET EXPANSIVE CONTAINER FOR WITNESSING AND EXPERIENCING BOTH OUR HUMANNESS AND OUR DIVITY.
