Describe the Organization's Mission:
Part 3 - Line 1
SOLIDARITY WITH THE PERSECUTED CHURCH EXISTS TO HELP THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH PERSEVERE AND FLOURISH IN COUNTRIES WHERE IT CONFRONTS PERSECUTION. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING DIRECT ASSISTANCE TO CHURCH ENTITIES SO THAT THEY CAN PROVIDE FOOD, WATER, SHELTER AND BASIC HEALTHCARE TO THEIR PEOPLE, OR TO UNDERTAKE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS SUCH AS THE BUILDING OF CHURCHES, HEALTH CLINICS AND SCHOOLS. SPC ALSO ENDEAVORS TO INCREASE AWARENESS IN THE UNITED STATES OF THE ADVERSE CONDITIONS EXPERIENCED BY THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH ABROAD.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
SOLIDARITY WITH THE PERSECUTED CHURCH IS EAGER TO SUPPORT THE MAINTENANCE OF THE CHRISTIAN PRESENCE AND INSTITUTIONAL CHURCH IN THE MIDDLE EAST, INCLUDING PALESTINE. TO THIS END, SPC PERSONNEL TRAVELED TO THE PALESTINIAN TERRITORY DURING 2018, TO ASSESS THE SITUATION AND PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ON-THE-GROUND, AND TO ESTABLISH CONTACTS WITH POTENTIAL PARTNERS FOR FUTURE COLLABORATIONS.
A KEY ELEMENT OF THE SOLIDARITY WITH THE PERSECUTED CHURCH MISSION HAS BEEN, FROM OUR INCEPTION, TO PUBLICIZE THE PLIGHT OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN PLACES WHERE IT CONFRONTS PERSECUTION, AMONG SYMPATHETIC AUDIENCES IN THE UNITED STATES. TO THIS END, WE CONTINUED TO EXECUTE A ROBUST PUBLIC INFORMATION CAMPAIGN, UTILIZING SOCIAL MEDIA, OUR INTERNET PRESENCE, MAIL, AND VIDEO PRODUCTION. IN PARTICULAR, DURING 2018 WE PRODUCED ORIGINAL DOCUMENTARY VIDEOS CONCERNING THE SITUATION IN THE LIBERATED TERRITORIES OF IRAQ, WHERE THE CHRISTIAN PRESENCE HAD BEEN DECIMATED BY THE ISIS OCCUPATION.
