ATHLETIC & ACADEMIC INSTRUCTIONTHIS IS THE BASE'S LARGEST PROGRAM, WHEREBY 800+ BOYS AND GIRLS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 6 AND 19 PARTICIPATE IN YEAR-ROUND BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, AND BASKETBALL INSTRUCTION, WHILE ALSO HAVING ACCESS TO A RANGE OF ACADEMIC AND CAREER RESOURCES, INCLUDING COLLEGE VISITS AND FAIRS, PROFESSIONAL DAYS, SAT PREP, HOMEWORK SUPPORT, AND LIFE SKILLS.
TRAVEL TEAMS & TOURNAMENTS: A SUBSET OF BASE STUDENT ATHLETES "EARN THEIR SPOT" ON ONE OF 12 TO 15 TEAMS EACH YEAR THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE BASE'S LEAGUES, OTHER LOCAL AND REGIONAL LEAGUES, AS WELL AS TRAVEL TO LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS.
URBAN SPORTS CLASSIC:THE URBAN CLASSIC IS A MULTI-DAY TOURNAMENT ORGANIZED BY THE BASE, AND HAS EVOLVED TO INCLUDE BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, AND BASKETBALL. OVER TWENTY TEAMS AND 400 PLAYERS COME TOGETHER FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY FOR COMPETITIVE TOURNAMENT STYLE PLAY, COLLEGE AND CAREER FAIRS, AND CULTURAL PROGRAMMING.
