THE FOUNDING GROUP AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES HAVE A CORE BELIEF THAT STUDENTS WHO HAVE LEFT HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE GRADUATIONS, OR WHO HAVE NOT HAD ACADEMIC SUCCESS IN A TRADITIONAL SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT, HAVE THE RIGHT TO A FREE AND APPROPRIATE EDUCATION. WE BELIEVE THAT EDUCATION IS KEY FOR TRANSITIONING INTO SELF-SUFFICIENCY. WITH INDIVIDUALIZED ATTENTION, PLANNING, AND PROGRAMMING, ALL STUDENTS CAN LEARN, CAN GRADUATE, CAN GO TO COLLEGE, AND CAN HAVE A SUCCESSFUL CAREER.

AS OF JUNE 30, 2018, THE NEWBURGH PREPARATORY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL HAS PERMANENTLY DISCONTINUED THEIR OPERATIONS AS A CHARTER SCHOOL. THE CHARTER SCHOOL OPERATIONS HAVE CEASED DUE TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK NOT RENEWING THE ORGANIZATION'S PROVISIONAL CHARTER. AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2018, THE CHARTER SCHOOL HAS LIQUIDATED ALL OF ITS ASSETS AND RECORDED ALL EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH WINDING DOWN THEIR OPERATIONS.
