(ACADEMIC & DISCIPLESHIP) ELGIN CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION (ECF) STRIVES TO PROVIDE EVERY CHILD WITH A STRONG, CHRIST-CENTERED, EARLY ACADEMIC FOUNDATION IN THE BASICS OF READING AND MATHEMATICS. THE FOUNDATION WORKED WITH SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO HELP DEVELOP MORE DYNAMIC PRINCIPAL LEADERS AND PARTNERED WITH DAYCARES AND PRESCHOOLS TO BETTER PREPARE CHILDREN FOR KINDERGARTEN.
(CHILD PROTECTION) ECF IS COMMITTED TO RESCUING DISTRESSED CHILDREN FROM THE NIGHTMARES OF SEXUAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE. THE FOUNDATION HAS ESTABLISHED A COORDINATED COMMUNITY RESPONSE TEAM IN EACH OF THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES TO SUPPORT LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND CHILD ADVOCACY CENTERS IN COMBATING CASES OF ABUSE AND NEGLECT.
(DENTAL) ECF FREED CHILDREN FROM DENTAL PAIN AND HELPED THEM DEVELOP HEALTHY ORAL HYGIENE HABITS BY SUPPORTING SCHOOL-BASED DENTAL PROGRAMS THAT FACILITATE SCREENINGS AND TREATMENT FROM LOCAL DENTAL PROVIDERS IN OVER 150 SCHOOLS ACROSS THREE STATES.
