LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS: SIX PROVIDES LOCAL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO STATE LEGISLATORS, THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND GRASSROOTS MOVEMENTS ON A WIDE ARRAY OF PROGRESSIVE PUBLIC POLICY TOPICS. THIS INCLUDES DEVELOPING CUSTOMIZED POLICY RESEARCH, CREATING POLICY EDUCATION MATERIALS, CONDUCTING ISSUE BRIEFINGS, HOSTING SKILL-BASED TRAININGS, CONDUCTING PUBLIC OPINION RESEARCH, AND FACILITATING LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL CONVENINGS.
SIX'S REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS PROGRAM ORGANIZES AND FACILITATES THE REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (RFLC), A NONPARTISAN GROUP OF STATE LEGISLATORS. THE RFLC EDUCATES AND ENGAGES LEGISLATORS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON ISSUES RELATED TO REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, RIGHTS AND JUSTICE, THROUGH SKILL AND ISSUE-BASED TRAININGS, CONVENINGS, PUBLIC OPINION RESEARCH, AND PUBLIC POLICY EDUCATION.
DEMOCRACY: SIX'S DEMOCRACY PROGRAM IS A NATIONAL INITIATIVE THAT WORKS WITH STATE LEGISLATORS, THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND GRASSROOTS MOVEMENTS TO BE DYNAMIC CHAMPIONS FOR A POWERFUL, INCLUSIVE AND PARTICIPATORY DEMOCRACY.
