THE FIFTH ANNUAL CONCUSSION SUMMIT - JUNE 19, 2018 "MINDS MATTER" AT UAB'S HILL STUDENT CENTER. SCIENCE AND CLINICAL TRACKS FROM CONCUSSION EXPERTS WERE PRESENTED BY PHYSICIANS, RESEARCHERS, CLINICIANS AND SPORTS MEDICINE PROFESSIONALS FROM AUBURN, ALABAMA, CLEMSON, FLORIDA AND UAB. TWO LEARNING TRACKS AND PLENARY SESSIONS INCLUDED PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS, MANAGEMENT, TREATMENT AND REHABILIATION INFORMATION AND RESOURCES TO ALL ATTENDEES. OTHER TOPICS INCLUDED "RETURN TO LEARN", ALABAMA'S CONCUSSION LAW AND THE DIFFICULT CHALLENGES FACING FAMILIES WITH CONCUSSED CHILDREN. CONTINUTING EDUCATION CREDITS WERE MADE AVAILABLE BY CHILDREN'S OF ALABAMA FOR PHYSICIANS AND ATHLETIC TRAINERS. ANOTHER SUMMIT IS PLANNED FOR 2020.
